The island of Lošinj and other numerous smaller islands around it are one of the most indented parts of the Adriatic coastline, thus providing plenty of excursion options. Both the town center and camps offer unforgettable excursions to nearby islands such as the sand island of Susak, the island of flowers Ilovik, the island of Unije with its olive groves and vineyards, the sandy Englese Bay on the islet of Koludarac, and even the more distant and larger islands of Rab and Pag.

Boat excursions with professional guides

Excursions are daylong, with departure is in the morning and return in late afternoon. Most excursions include lunch on the boat with meat and fish on the menu. A professional guide will normally escort you on your tour of the islands.

Some excursions include visits to a number of islands in a single day, so you can see Susak, Ilovik, Oruda, Palaciol and Englese Bay in just a few hours or take a swim in the sea far from the shore, an unforgettable experience. You may even come across one of the bottle-nosed dolphins that live in the waters around Lošinj on one of your excursions.

In addition to boat excursions, scuba diving centers offer exploration of the sea depths and shipwrecks.

Land-based excursions

Even though Lošinj is an island, it provides plenty of different organized excursions, for example a visit to the Aroma Garden with different autochthonous plant species, tours of Mali Lošinj and Veli Lošinj, a guided pedestrian tour of the entire island and a visit to a village estate in Balvanida Bay, climbing to the Sv. Ivan peak and visiting the chapel of the same name or visiting the beautiful Krivica Bay… and many other things.

On the way to St. Gaudens, the guardian of Osor, discover the northern part of the island of Lošinj and the towns of Osor and Nerezine, climb up to Osorščica and its highest peak at an elevation of 588 m, and enjoy a wonderful view of the entire Lošinj Archipelago.

Visit the Blue World eco-center that studies dolphins, learn something about them, rent a boat and set off on an excursion with Blue World in search of a dolphin.

Inquire with the shipper about boat excursion options in Camp Čikat on the shore, near the bar.

If you prefer an active holiday, you will certainly not be bored on the island of Lošinj and the surrounding islands. Set off on unforgettable adventures and explore the islands!

Camp Čikat is an ideal departure point for a number of these excursions – please contact reception in Camp Čikat for more information.
