Investments to Further Improve the Quality of Camp Čikat in 2021

01.03.2021.

Despite a very challenging 2020, during which we had to face the coronavirus pandemic, the process of developing the brand Camping Cres & Lošinj, owned by the company Jadranka turizam d.o.o., continues in 2021. Most of the investments we plan to realize throughout this year concern the largest camp of our portfolio, Camp Čikat. This year’s investment cycle consists of 70 new pitches (31 Comfort and 39 Superior), an outdoor gym with fitness and recreation equipment, a new playground, and new mobile homes to host our employees (7 mobile homes).

Even though the tourism industry was globally one of the most affected by the coronavirus pandemic, the company Jadranka turizam d.o.o., that manages 4 Camps on Cres & Lošinj islands: Camp Slatina, Camp Bijar, and the Naturist Camp Baldarin on the island of Cres, and Camp Čikat on the island of Lošinj, resolutely continues with the implementation of already planned investments, notwithstanding the current circumstances.

The new investments into Camp Čikat further confirm the status and the acclaimed awards and recognitions the Camp has received during the past years but also represent our desire to improve its quality to an (even) higher level. Besides its membership in the LeadingCampings association and the ADAC Superplatz award, this year the Camp has also received recognition from the journal Caravaning that has listed it among 10 best Camps in Croatia.

Considering the fact that Camp Čikat is a favourite destination for families with children, new investments will particularly please them, as they include a new playground and an outdoor gym, which will further improve the sports offer in the Camp (besides the multipurpose sports field constructed last year).

We continue with the construction of new Superior pitches with power, water, and sewer connections that provide absolute comfort to all guests traveling with a motorhome or a caravan. The pitches will be large and spacious, situated in the shade of pine trees, and with a view of the sea. Besides the Superior pitches, new Comfort pitches are also being constructed, with power and water connections. With the construction of 70 new pitches, this zone will be fully finished with parcelled Camping pitches and the corresponding infrastructure.

The last, but not the least important, planned investment into the Camp relates to the improvement of working conditions for both our current and future employees. The area for the stay of employees will now get new mobile homes to offer comfortable and high-quality accommodations, and Camp Čikat thus becomes one of favourite destinations not only for a relaxing stay but also for work.
