The beginnings of the Leading campings of Europe
The group itself was created in 1994, as a result of an informal meeting
and exchange of ideas between 3 friends and colleagues, also the owners of
camps Union Lido, Südsee Camp and Playa Montroig. Armando Ballarin, Peer
Thiele and Antonio Gimenez shared the same vision and concept of development of
the camping industry and wanted to extend the highest quality standards they had
set in their own camps to other camps as well, those that deserve it and meet
certain criteria. The trio soon moved on to tangible action, and the Leading
Campings of Europe was founded. They also agreed on what exactly the Leading Campings
of Europe brand symbolizes, as well as what distinguishes the campsites that
are members of the association.

owners and friendly professional staff, and the camps are characterized by
top-quality sanitary facilities, a large selection of sports and leisure

glamping and luxury pitches. Camps that are members of the association are
categorized with 4 and 5 stars and are all located in idyllic locations along
rivers and mountains. Despite the fact that the camps are of exceptional

regularly held in one of the camps, as well as the annual exchange of

of Europe today has as many as 45 camps from 10 countries that are leaders in

The 30th anniversary of the Leading Campings of Europe will be
appropriately celebrated in each of the member camps during the weekend of May
4 - 5, 2024 with a corresponding program and the distribution of matching free Leading cards with 300 bonus points for all guests who already have a Leading
