New prestigious recognitions in 2025

Croatian Tourism Days represent the largest gathering of tourism professionals in the country. During the multi-day DHT program, Croatia’s tourism year is traditionally summarized through professional lectures, workshops, presentations, and meetings. These activities are used to review tourism and economic achievements, discuss current topics, and showcase the potential for further development and stronger positioning of Croatia’s tourism sector.

The event gathers more than 1,500 participants each year, and part of the program includes the official ceremony of the Croatian Tourism Awards, broadcast live on national television. Awards are presented to individuals, representatives of the tourism industry, and the best destinations and businesses whose work has earned recognition.

The Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Croatian National Tourist Board, and the Croatian Chamber of Economy jointly declared Camp Čikat, a member of the Camping Cres & Lošinj brand within Jadranka turizam d.o.o., the Best Camp of the Year. The evening before, Camp Čikat was also awarded as the Best Large Camp.

In addition to these awards, Čikat also received recognitions at the 19th Camping Congress in Šibenik, winning the award for the Best Large Camp in Kvarner according to the Avtokampi.si portal, as well as the Croatia’s Best Campsite 2026 award.
In previous years, the camp achieved numerous successes, including two ADAC awards for innovative projects – “Safe Camping” (2019) and “Interactive Maps” (2024). Besides ADAC, the camp has also been recognized by ACSI and numerous specialized portals and magazines. For many years, Camp Čikat has held the ADAC Superplatz distinction and is a member of the prestigious Leading Campings of Europe association, which includes 47 of the best campsites in Europe.

Pride that confirms commitment to quality

This year’s award is particularly valuable as it represents the camp’s first national-level recognition of the highest rank. Continuous investments, innovative projects, and service quality have made Čikat a leader in Croatia’s camping offer — now officially confirmed. The award was received by the Executive Director of Camps, Dejan Jakovljević. The jury highlighted Čikat as a unique blend of natural luxury, innovation, and sustainable tourism — a destination that combines family, health, and the sea throughout the entire year.
