The islands of Cres and Lošinj are connected to the mainland by two ferry routes, one from Istria, Porozina – Brestova, more suitable for tourists arriving from Italy, Swiss and part of Germany, and the other one, more suitable for arrivals from Zagreb, is Valbiska – Merag, normally used by guests from Slovenia, Austria, the Czech Republic and Poland.

Modern ferries for a quick and pleasant arrival

The islands are reached on ferries operated by Jadrolinija. The ferries are modern and large and able to take over 200 vehicles in one journey. Loading and unloading is very quick thanks to the elevator system. The ferries have wide entry ramps (7 to 11 m), so tourists with campers can access them very easily and the ramp is height-adjustable, so there is no fear the bottom of your car or camper will get caught due to a steep ramp.

Ferries take over 200 vehicles, some even close to 300, depending on the vehicle size, and 600 to 800 passengers. They are equipped with modern powerful engines and reach high speeds (up to 12 knots), so sailing on both routes takes between 20 and 25 minutes.

There is an air conditioned bar on each ferry and two outdoor decks with benches that you can enjoy during the ride.

The ferries sail according to a schedule during pre-season, post-season and in the off-season period, and non-stop all day during the high season when there are plenty of tourists.
