After consultations with the Ministry of Tourism, during an official visit to camp Slatina, the premises were inspected and a list was made containing the necessary improvements in order for the camp to be categorized with four stars. After all the shortcomings established in the protocol of the Ministry were corrected, on July 8th, 2013 camp Slatina was awarded with four stars. Camp Slatina is the first camp on the islands of Cres and Lošinj to earn four stars along with only four other camps in the Kvarner Bay (all of which are situated on the island of Krk - Bunculuka, Slamni, Ježevac, Krk). The conditions to be fulfilled in order to receive four stars are determined in the Rulebook of the Ministry which precisely states the quantitative and qualitative criteria that have to be met in order for a camp to be classified into a specific category. Systematic investments in the quality of sanitary facilities, accommodation units, reception, beaches, infrastructure, environment protection…all of this has been recognized not only by our guests, but also by the most important foreign camping experts and this is why camp Slatina is now a proud owner of the ADAC yellow board and the prize winner for the best innovative product regarding the stay of animals in the camp. By awarding us with four stars, the Ministry of Tourism has upgraded the status of camp Slatina as the leading camp on the islands of Cres and Lošinj and has at the same time obligated us to maintain this high level of quality also in the future. What we are most proud of, is the fact that also our guests have recognized our systematic investments in the quality of our offer and thanks to this, the number of arrivals and stays of domestic and foreign tourists in camp Slatina is constantly growing. At the moment there are 1.600 guests staying in our camp, 4%, more than the year before, whereby the cumulative increase in comparison to 2012 amounts to 3%.
